We are Archadeck Outdoor Living, North America’s leading designer and builder of outdoor living spaces such as decks, porches, sunrooms, and shade structures.

We are looking for construction professionals with extensive experience building outdoor living structures. Ideally a crew of 2, or possibly 3 individuals looking for year-round full-time employment. You will primarily be responsible for delivering the finished product to the satisfaction of the homeowner, building officials, and business owner. Previous carpentry experience constructing outdoor living structures (decks and roof structures) is required, as are strong interpersonal communication skills, excellent customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow our documented processes. Previous experience working with composite materials would be ideal. Pay will be determined by experience and abilities. Other benefits such as health insurance reimbursement and paid vacation will be offered. Insurance policies (including general liability and workers comp) will be paid by Archadeck.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate Archadeck management to ensure understanding of construction drawings and the specified details
  • Check construction drawings with sales design drawings to ensure adequacy and accuracy of information
  • Check materials delivered against take-off and inform construction manager of shortages to allow for the prompt delivery of missing items and uninterrupted workflow
  • Establish and follow a schedule with the construction manager
  • Maintain an orderly job site by cleaning up daily and assuring safety practices are utilized
  • Maintain positive relations with customers (minimal, but occasional homeowner interaction is expected)
  • Refer all problems to the construction manager for resolution
  • Employees will start off using their own tools. As tools wear down or break, Archadeck will furnish new tools/blades/bits, etc. All hardware including bolts, hangers, fasteners, etc. will be provided as needed per job.
  • The employee must provide their own reliable transportation to and from the job site.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Clean and neat appearance. Company branded apparel will be provided.
  • Good communication and people skills
  • Willing to learn and follow documented processes
  • Ability to work on specified details and quality assurance checklist independently
  • A thorough background in good carpentry techniques including framing, exterior trim/siding, screening, and various form of composite decking and railing
  • Ability to read and interpret structural plans and check take-offs
  • Ability to layout footings and/or foundations
  • Ability to determine elevations
 
Compensation: $45,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
